The posse ride into Denver early in the morning.  Kansas enters the office, looks at the mountain of paperwork and starts rooting around in the piles of miscellaneous objects scattered around the office.  Shima walks in and heads towards his bunk in one of the back cells.  Kansas find a long bow in one of the piles and follows Shima back into his cell.

"It belonged to Cochise." said Kansas.

"Who's Cochise-san?" asked Shima.

"Some great warrior person."

Shima takes the bow and starts to work on a new set of arrow.  Kansas leaves him to his work and returns to start  stamping the paperwork, or maybe catch a nap.

Later that afternoon Shima and Kansas set off to visit the mayor.  They stop at the mayor's palatial house.  Inside, the butler directs them to the mayor's office.  The secretary greets Shima and Kansas, asks them to sit and goes to find the mayor.

"Where can we get someone like that to help you with the paperwork Kansas-san?" asks Shima.

"Maybe we should put an add in the paper." replies Kansas.

The secretary returns and ushers them into the mayor's office.

The mayor listens as Kansas and Shima explain what happened on the train and about the large camp.  When the two are finished, the Mayor takes out some paper and drafts a note.  He stamps and seals the letter.

"Take this to the union army in Denver.  I've asked them to provide a detachment of troops to clean up this gang once and for all." says the Mayor.

Shima and Kansas leave the office.  Kansas interrogates the secretary for a few minutes before leaving.  Kansas and Shima head straight for the office of the Rocky Mountain News.  After a few minutes waiving badges and guns, the Rocky Mountain News agrees to run the add for a secretary and charge the marshal's office.  The duo leave the office of the Rocky Mountain News and head for the Union camp in Denver.

Arriving, Kansas and Shima are whisked in to see Capt. Virgil Peters.  He examines the note and listens to the story that Shima and Kansas brought.  Captain Peters explains that it will take some time to assemble the unit and supplies.  The army can be ready to go on Sunday the 23rd.

Shima and Kansas return to their hotel for baths, supper and massages.
