At dawn, Kansas, Reg and Liz ride out to where Shima made his final stand.  Out amongst the scrub brush, all they can find is Shima's Sword, Bow and Teapot.  All lying near a dark spot on the ground.  Quietly Kansas collects Shima's things, turns and starts back towards the army, and Denver.

The posse ride into Denver in the early afternoon.  Kansas enters the office and discovers a letter.  Reading the note Kansas learns that the Lord Mayor of Denver has requested that the Marshal and the posse dine at his home.  Tonight. There's also a stranger that walks into the Marshals office looking for the former Marshal.  Kansas introduces himself as the current marshal.  With evening approaching and a desire to put an end to the mornings activities, the posse split up to clean up and meet at the Mayor's house.

The Mayor's house seems a little more elaborate than the previous visit.  Perhaps its the new marble statues.  Or perhaps the antique piano.  Dinner was served in a small dining room at an expensive table, serving 14.  The Lord Mayor sat at one end surrounded by his mistresses.

Dinner passes pleasantly with several attempts at seduction from The Lord Mayor, the posse and the concubines.  Reg seems unusually butterfingered with the heavy silver ware.  Lizzy flirts with one of The Lord Mayor's concubines.  Kansas announces his intention to go to Manitou Springs for a much needed vacation.  The Mayor recommends a great hotel and offers Kansas some vouchers for a free stay.  The concubine slips Lizzy a key to a room at The Brown Palace.  The Mayor offers Argent a bounty to clean up "the mess" that's in Manitou Springs.  Everyone agrees to catch the first train in the morning to Manitou Springs.

Lizzy sneaks out to meet The Lord Mayor at The Brown Palace.  Stopping by a store, she buys a gift for The Lord Mayor, something to stretch out the time.  She arrives at the hotel and slips into the room to find the concubine waiting for her.  Lizzy, never one to split hairs decides to spend the night with the concubine.
