Sunday, July 16th, 1876

Ezekiel and Tara awake the next morning.  Their grievous injuries were healed overnight.  Tara notices that Ezekiel has a brand new tattoo on his chest.  The burning on Tara's chest confirms she now has a tattoo as well.  The Shaman explains that it was part of the ritual to save them.  Then he sends them out of the tent and into the sunny morning.

J.C. Archimedes Maxwell quietly starts to work on a poison for the whiskey.  Drawing on known problems with distilling the poison, J.C. Archimedes Maxwell starts to work on distilling a different kind of alcohol from the distillery that was setup for the gang.  Straw starts wandering around the camp, quietly warning the slaves not to drink of any alcohol.

Tara and Reg sit down for breakfast.  They start to talk.  Reg starts to flirt.  Tara rips his head off.

Ezekiel wanders over to Reg and starts to talk about God, religion and the afterlife.

That evening Russell gathers up the posse.  The gang is going on a night raid of a local farmer and Russell is bringing the posse with him.  Everyone sits down and blackens their skin and weapons with soot from the fire that burned last night. The raiding party rides off into the sunset.

When the group reaches the farmhouse, Ezekiel sneaks away from the raiding party to go find the owner.  He finds that the rancher has shut his family in the basement and is ready to battle the bandits for his home.  Ezekiel talks to the man for a while and convinces him to send his family away for the evening.  Ezekiel warns the rancher about the raiding party.  The rancher is scared, but unwilling to leave his home.  Ezekiel blesses the man and returns to the raiding party.  Russell has decided to make an example of the rancher.  Russell wants to burn the house, with the rancher still inside.
