Friday, July 14th, 1876

The posse ride towards Red Rocks.  When they get within site of the red formations, they notice lookouts signaling the posse's position to other people on the ground.  A group of 10 rough gang members ride out to surround the posse.  The lead member introduces himself as Russell Wolfe.

Straw lets Russell know that they want to join the gang.  Russell designs a series of tests to determine if the posse can join the gang.  Straw impresses Russell with his sharp shooting skills.  Straw shoots the hat out of the hand of a lookout a quarter mile away.

The posse are allowed into the gang's campsite in the middle of the red rocks.  The camp is mostly tents with one cabin.  The cabin is where the gang's leader resides.  All around the camp are enslaved men and women who do the daily work for the camp and the gang.

Tara takes on the test of cooking the whole gang dinner.  The kitchen is a hodge podge of pots, pans and other implements taken from settlers in the area.  There are a pair of mismatched stoves at the center of the open air kitchen.  With Ezekiel and Straw's help Tara creates a culinary masterpiece for the gang.  Russell tells the posse to get some rest for tomorrows test.
