Liz leaves her room to go meet the posse for breakfast.  On the way down, something catches her eye.  The door to the room that Reg was given, is ajar.  Looking around, she quietly goes to the door and takes a peak.  Someone is sleeping on the bed. And they're snoring like they could wake the dead.  A little investigation finds that it's Reg in the bed, deeply asleep.  Liz closes the door and goes downstairs for breakfast.

After sharing breakfast and her discovery, the posse receive word of another murder.  Leaving Reg to sleep, the posse ride out through the rubble and over to the site of the murder.  Liz and Argent immediately notice that one of the victim's was an Indian.  Argent and Kansas head over to Dancing Birds' while Liz and Chuck Wright investigate the scene of the murder.

Kansas and Argent arrive at Homeopathic Remedies by Dancing Bird.  The store is still closed and the front door locked.  Checking the back door, it's broken.  Pulling their guns, Argent and Kansas sweep the store.  No one is here.  Looking at the tracks on the floor and the damage, it's pretty apparent that Dancing Bird met the Nagual that night.  It looks like she put up a good fight, but in the end she died.  On the back counter in the store, Dancing Bird left a box for the posse.  Inside was an old stone dagger and a note.  "I hope that you guys find this useful.  You're right, it is my responsibility to help."

Investigating the scene, Liz discovers that Dancing Bird is one of the bodies that was killed.  Finishing off the investigation Argent and Kansas ride up.  Swapping notes, the posse decide it's time to go talk to Reg.  Returning to the Manitou House, the posse discover that he is no longer in bed.  The front desk clerk mentions that he ate a huge breakfast and then went to the hot springs.

The posse find Reg soaking in one of the hot spring pools, flirting with a cute bath attendant.  Lizzy scares her off and the posse drag Reg back to the hotel to tell his story.  Reg doesn't remember much of what happened after going into the cavern the previous day.  "But I did have a dream last night about it, I was chasing this... guy I think, maybe it was a cat, my memory's kind of fuzzy.  I chased him down a mountain but then I lost his track on one of the streets.  That's about all I remember."  Reg was reluctant to add any details to the story.  The posse bring him along and attempt to back track his trail up the mountain.  Spending the better part of the afternoon on the mountainside, the posse are able to partially reconstruct a path from a hole in the ground down to one of the roads leading into Manitou Springs.  The footprints were odd, sometimes they were human, sometimes they were animal, a big cat or big dog.  Returning to the hotel the posse start to sort things out during the evening.

Lizzy keeps getting awoken by the squeak of bedsprings and the thump of a headboard against the wall of her room.  After waking up three different times, Lizzy walks over to Reg's door, let's herself in.  She smiles to the bath attendant and glares at Reg.  Then she oils the springs and takes the pillow from the bed.  She places it between the headboard and the wall.

"I didn't mind the first time I woke up.  I was amused by the second time I woke up.  On the third time, I realized that I needed my sleep.  Goodnight."  And Lizzy closed the door.
