This morning starts off with a visit from the Mayor of Denver.  He arrives and talks to Kansas to get an update about getting rid of the bandits.  Kansas fills the Mayor in on some of the details and asks for something with a bigger punch to deal with the bandits.  The Mayor drafts a quick note to the Union Army asking them to help Kansas out.

Shima heads over to MEI to purchase some rope and a grapple.  Wandering the rows of equipment Shima finds just the equipment that he is looking for.  Taking it up to the front of the store for his purchase, Shima realizes that he has no cash and that the store clerks will not loan or exchange the gear for anything but money.  Dejected, Shima returns to the Marshal's office and discovers it empty.  A clerk crosses the street with an armful of paperwork and enters the office.  Without saying a word, he drops it onto the Marshal's desk and exits the building.

Kansas finds himself in the office of Lt. Colonel Cecil Pattersen.  With a great deal of show the Lt. Colonel agrees to help Kansas.  He loans him a small cannon that they can conceal on a train, powder, cannon balls and a crew to man the device.  Lt. Colonel Pattersen promises Kansas that everything will be ready first thing in the morning and the army will meet Kansas at the train station.

Lizzy visits the booming manager of Union Station.  It turns out that the gang attacking the train will use the same pattern to stop the train.  The tank shoots at the engine and the engineer.  The engineer stops the train and twenty masked men ride out and systematically loot the train.  Lizzy arranges to get the posse and their gear onto the train tomorrow morning.

Kansas returns to the office to find Shima finishing off paperwork for the Marshal.  Shima proudly demonstrates that he can use all of the stamps on Kansas' desk with precision and efficiency.  Shima doesn't even seem to read the documents, rather trusting to intuition and an obscure rhyme to determine what stamp to use.  When he finishes a pile, a clerk appears from across the street, collects the paperwork and deposits more of the Marshal to use.

The posse spend the rest of the day badgering gunslingers that pass outside of the Marshals office.  That evening they manage to assemble a respectable posse to go get the gang tomorrow morning.
